41 Free Job Posting Sites to Maximize your Job Ad Reach by Mile Živković on Jan 21, 2019

Putting together a great job ad is just the beginning of your efforts to attract and hire high-quality candidates. The problem is, even the best job ads won’t attract great applicants if they’re not published in the right places.

Well-known channels such as LinkedIn and Monster may work great, but they also make big dents in your budget, especially if you hire for lots of roles frequently. However, you can post your job ads for free, using some of the job boards we’ll mention today.

Free = worthless?

We’re led to believe that if something is free, it usually provides little to no value. So, if you post a job ad on a free job board, you’re probably thinking that it won’t make much of a difference. Job boards don’t always make money just from companies posting their open positions – so they can afford to promote your job openings at no cost. Therefore, posting a free job ad on one of these boards can actually be pretty effective, depending on the position.

The list of job boards where you can post your job ad for free

Hundred5’s Job Board – Have you heard? We recently turned our Facebook page into a unique job board. We call it this way because we regularly post new job ads from companies looking to hire top-quality talent using Hundred5 to assess the candidates’ ability to get the job done.

Jooble – Jooble is a job ad aggregator, collecting ads across numerous countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. While it’s free to list the ads on Jooble, they still have to be listed on some other website that Jooble will redirect to.

ZipRecruiter – If you want to get noticed by large numbers of candidates from USA, this is the place to be. Besides a website, ZipRecruiter has a great app that candidates can use to apply from their phones (if they have a profile on the site).

Glassdoor – If a candidate is researching your company to find out what kind of an employer you are, chances are high that they’ll take a peek at your Glassdoor profile. This makes it a great place to post job ads – and it’s completely free.

JobInventory – One of the largest job aggregators online, JobInventory currently has over 7 million listed job ads – and you can add yours for free, as well.

Recruit.net – Although it may seem like a job board, this is another aggregator that hosts job ads from other online sources. Good news is that it’s free and that you can easily submit your own website’s page to be included.

GigaJob – This German-based job board aggregator has millions of available jobs in 100 countries across the world.

Jobvertise – Millions of available jobs and just as many visitors make this a great place to find some new talent. While posting your job ad is free, you’ll only be able to view 10 resumes per day without upgrading to a paid plan.

Indeed – Founded in 2004, this is one of the world’s largest job boards today. With over 200 million monthly visitors, your free job ad is sure to attract quite an audience.

Simply Hired – This is not an actual job board, rather an aggregator that lets you share your job ad within a large network of websites from a single place. The free account comes with certain limitations, so you may need a paid plan to reach your desired audience.

Wisestep – More than a job board, this platform allows you to list your ads, get in touch with candidates, run referral programs and much more. The free plan is limited in the number of broadcasts, and the paid plans start at $39 per month.

PostJobFree – This aptly titled job board is yet another place that lists job ads from all over the internet.

FlexJobs – One of the largest databases for remote jobs, FlexJobs is completely free for employers. The way they make it possible is by charging job applicants monthly fees to check out the ads on the platform.

Oodle – Primarily a marketplace for used and new goods, Oodle also allows you to list your job ads for free – US only though.

Smartly – Only the top 10% of all candidates are accepted in Smartly’s database, which assures you that you have top quality applicants. On the other hand, the free plan is rather limiting with only 3 candidates per job ad.

Snag – Launch your own career page on this website and track and screen your applications – all for free. Paid plans start at $89 monthly and let you post on multiple job boards.

Jobxoom – Get in front of a large number of candidates looking for jobs in the USA – the website gets more than 80,000 visits per month.

ActiveHire – This platform allows you to share your job ad across different websites, such as GlassDoor, Recruit.net, Oodle and many others.
